A Day at the Train Park

Mike had off work today after working what felt like ten days in a row. So we thought we would get out and enjoy the weather. Michael is totally into choo choo trains right now. His favorite movie is Mickey Mouse Choo Choo Express. Seriously when he wakes up in the morning it is the first thing he asks to watch and then he asks all day. Watch choo choo, watch choo choo?? Mike and I could probably recite every line in the movie. So what better place to take him then to the railroad park. We packed a lunch and as soon as we got there we found a nice grassy area and had lunch. Michael kept pointing at the train and really didn't eat that much because he was so enthralled with the train that was driving all the people around.

So off to the train we went. Michael was so excited. We kept trying to take pictures ofhim but he would not look at the camera once. He is so over pictures anymore I have to be really sneaky. Once we were on the train you wave to everyone you pass. He just kept waving to everyone he saw it was so sweet.









After we rode the train we played on the playground and then got some ice cream cones. This was Michael's first ice cream cone and it was pretty cute to watch him eat. We took his shirt off so he wouldn't get it all over him. I figure he is a boy he can take his shirt off in public. It will be a different story for Mia. :-)











After ice cream we rode the train one more time and then went home. We had so much fun watching Michael I can't wait till Mia is 2 so we can do this all over again. Before we went to the park I asked Mike if he could try to take some pictures of me and the kids since I am always taking the pictures I don't have a lot with them. Here are some of my favorite pictures from the day. I am so happy to have some good pictures with my babies. Ok so they are just pictures of me and Mia but like I said Michael would not look at the camera. :-)
