Staycation

As a family we would like to do at least one week long vacation a year. So far we have only done staycations. We thought oh yeah lets go to San Diego and stay for a week and do this and that and it would be fun but in all reality I think it would be really hard at this stage of the game. I could see Mia just crawling around in the sand eating as much of it as she could. I could see her NOT sitting in a stroller all day while we walk around the zoo or elsewhere. She is very mobile and hates to be still. We thought we should do trips when both the kids can enjoy everything. I man we are in a recession people. :-)

So we opted for a staycation. We decided to stay at the Westin Villas. This way we have a kitchen to cook and a living room to hang out in. With two kids it would just be easier that way. It was amazing we had so much fun. One of Mike's friends Jimmy and his wife Jessica came and stayed in an ajoining room next to ours with their little on Jimmy Jr. Our view was great it looked right out to the pool area. They had a kiddie pool which was so perfect since neither one of our children know how to swim. We had a cabana for three days which was so nice and relaxing. The boys got in some time to hit golf balls and play a round of golf. We all went to breakfast on father's day which I do not have any pictures of because I was not feeling good at all. I got the flu the last night we were there. So Mike just watched sports on fathers day and let me sleep. Such a great husband ad daddy. I highly recommend a staycation with two little ones. It was a lot less stressful.
